The Freedomware Project

Have an idea that could help The Freedomware Project?  Have a project that you’d like to suggest?  The forums are an excellent way of communicating with other like minded individuals.  If some wish to act on your idea, great!  If not, and you’d rather still try your idea alone, that’s okay too.  Before entering the forums, please keep the following in mind:

• Posting to the appropriate area is a good idea.  If the topic itself is not appropriate for the section, it will be moved to a more appropriate one.  If no appropriate section exists, the thread won’t be deleted.  Instead, it will be locked.
• There is a section that allows for the discussion of politics.  As distasteful as some may find the subject, the sad reality is that politics in general will affect freedomware in one way or another.  For example, laws that would hinder peer to peer software would hinder the sharing of freedomware even though no copyright laws are broken.  It is also the differences of opinion that allow for the creation of new ideas.
• Always assume 5-12 year olds will be reading the forums.  That means using wingdings and symbols if you feel the need to utter an occasional curse word (don’t get carried away please).

As time goes on, the policies and rules for forum membership will be added to and changed as new situations arise.  So please be respectful towards each other.  That is all that is asked.
